About

MarinaMarina Drukman is a Ukrainian-born graphic designer, art director, problem solver, world traveler, napkin-doodler, bike-rider, playlist maker, and a book reader. She attended School of Visual Arts in NYC, after realizing the degree from a Ukrainian university would most likely be useless in this country. But she was wrong. Knowing a few extra things came in handy. Also, knowing how to start a revolution.

She began her career at Spot Design, and moved on to Picador, where she fell in love with book cover design. She later took on a senior designer position at the iconic Life magazine, and then an art director position at Elle Decor. She is currently running her own design studio, where she works on books, magazines, identity projects and many other things, while bravely perusing the digital world. Her clients include Time Inc., Condé Nast, FSG, Picador, St. Martin’s Press, Bloomsbury Publishing, Simon & Schuster, W. W. Norton, ESPN, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Generation Human Rights, and many others.

Marina’s work has been recognized by many major design publications, such as Art Directors Club, SPD, Graphis, AIGA 50/50, PRINT, New York Book Show. It’s regularly featured on design blogs, such as Casual Optimist, Bookslut, Spine Magazine, Flavorwire, and others. She’d love to hear from you about your projects, and how she can help to realize them.
